Outfielder Bradlee Beesley was promoted from Double-A Tennessee to Iowa.
The Cubs signed right-handed pitcher Nico Zeglin and assigned him to Low-A Myrtle Beach. Zeglin had been pitching out of the Mexican League and had pitched collegiately for Gonzaga and Long Beach State.
