On Friday, we recounted how the North Carolina Tar Heels women’s golf team advanced to and are participating in the NCAA Championships. However, they’re not the only UNC golf team who will be. Back on Wednesday, the men’s team also punched their ticket to the championships, which are set to take place in California, starting this Friday.
UNC were designated the hosts of the regional round, which they held at Finley Golf Course in Chapel Hill. The Tar Heels ended up finishing third in the 13-team regional, but that was enough to finish in the top five and advance to the final rounds.
