Purdue's Zach Edey Says 'Nothing Wrong' With CBB Court Storming If Done Safely

Purdue center Zach Edey doesn't have an issue with fans storming the court to celebrate after a win, as long as it's done safely.

"Students, probably a lot of drunk students, charging the court against another team isn't the safe thing to do, but I think it's a part of the game," Edey said last week, per ESPN's William Weinbaum and Sara Coello. "I think it's a reason for fans to go to games. I think there's nothing wrong with it, as long as you do it safely."

The topic of fans rushing onto the floor became a widely-discussed topic after Duke sophomore center Kyle Filipowski sustained a knee injury after he collided with a supporter that ran on the court following the Blue Devils' loss to Wake Forest on Saturday.
