Aaron Judge rumors had the baseball world on fire for the past 24 hours. But at least part of the conflagration was caused by an arsonist.
Jon Heyman, the longtime MLB reporter who now works at the New York Post, had the defining tweet of the winter meetings:
"Arson Judge appears headed to Giants," he posted at 2:20 Pacific time Tuesday afternoon. He fixed his typo within five minutes, but in less than 10 minutes, it was clear he had made a far bigger mistake. "Giants say they have not heard on Aaron Judge, My apologies for jumping the gun," he tweeted at 2:27.
